The President held a meeting with ambassadors accredited in the Republic of Moldova
The Head of State Igor Dodon held a meeting with ambassadors accredited in the Republic of Moldova, with residence in Chisinau. These conversations, which have become traditional, provide a good opportunity for discussing various topical issues in an extended format.
During the conversation, the Head of the republic spoke about recent political, economic and social events in our country, including the actions that the President planed to take in the near future.
"Regarding the political situation in the country, I regretted the stalemate created by the highest legislative body. I noted that if the governing bodies of the Parliament are not created by mid-June, I will be forced to sign a decree on its dissolution and appointment of early parliamentary elections.
I stressed that this was a bad scenario for the Republic of Moldova, given the risks of freezing investment projects in the field of infrastructure, emergence of new risks in the budget system, transfer of the Government creation and holding of local elections," Igor Dodon said.
In addition, the Moldovan leader spoke about the foreign policy agenda of the President of the Republic of Moldova: on May 29 he will take part in the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, on June 6-8, at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, and on June 21 - at the opening of the second European Olympic Games in Minsk.
In conclusion, Igor Dodon thanked the heads of the diplomatic missions for the continuous support provided by their countries to the Republic of Moldova, and invited them to take part in the Family Festival, which would be held this Sunday in Chisinau under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Moldova.
