Hungarian Prime Minister will visit Moldova in March


Moldovan President Igor Dodon met with Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister Peter Siyarto, who is visiting Moldova.

The Head of State welcomed the distinguished guest and noted the intensity of the Moldovan-Hungarian political and diplomatic dialogue, which indicated strengthening of ties between our countries. He praised activation of the Moldovan-Hungarian cooperation at the parliament level, bearing in mind the visit of the Chair of the Legislature Zinaida Greceanii to Hungary.

“I expressed my gratitude for the fact that Moldova remained among the priority countries for Hungary in terms of providing assistance. Our country has implemented more than 40 Hungarian projects aimed at promoting and deepening economic and political cooperation. Hungary ranks 13th in terms of trade in the list of partners of the Republic of Moldova. The current leadership of the country has an ambitious agenda in terms of attracting investment in infrastructure, and therefore I called on economic agents from Hungary to participate in these projects”
, he said.

At the end of the meeting, Igor Dodon welcomed readiness of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to pay a visit to Moldova this March and voiced the initiative to sign a strategic cooperation agreement between our countries during this visit.
