Igor Dodon sent condolences to Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with the devastating earthquake

Moldovan President Igor Dodon "with deep sorrow and regret learned of the earthquake in eastern Turkey, which resulted in human victims and material damage."

We are close to the citizens of the Republic of Turkey and wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured as a result of the natural disaster,” Igor Dodon said in a message addressed to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to media reports, the earthquake occurred on January 24 at around 8:55 pm local time. The magnitude of tremors reached 6.8. The epicenter was in the area of the city of Sivridge in the province of Elazig. Number of perished has increased to over 20 people. Anadolu news agency, citing the Office of Emergencies and Natural Disasters, also reports about 1,015 injured. More than 100 houses destroyed.
