President Dodon: I do not exclude meetings with Johannis and Zelensky in early September
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, does not exclude meetings with his colleagues from neighboring countries - Romanian President Klaus Johannis and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky - in early September.
This was stated by the Head of State as part of a program on a public television channel. Igor Dodon recalled that quite recently he had telephone conversations with the heads of both states. Both in Romania and in Ukraine soon will be elections - presidential and parliamentary, respectively, he added.
“I do not rule out that we will have meetings with both presidents in early September on international platforms in which I will take part. With Mr. Johannis, we agreed that, as soon as we find an opportunity, my official visit to Romania or his visit to Moldova will take place. We agreed with Mr. Zelensky that after their parliamentary elections, which will take place on July 21, after the formation of power, we will return to this topic”, the Head of State said.
