The Head of State supports holding of public competitions for the post of judges of the Constitutional Court
The President of the Republic of Moldova supports holding of public competitions for the position of judges of the Constitutional Court. President Igor Dodon wrote about this on his page on the social network.
“I welcome decision to hold public competitions for the six vacant posts of judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova: each two from the Parliament, the Government and the High Council of the Magistracy.
I am firmly convinced that the country needs professionals, honest and incorruptible judges in order to restore the prestige of the Constitutional Court and to return its confidence for the Moldovan society and international partners.
I hope that by July 29, when we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, the new approved composition will take the oath before the Parliament and the President, according to Art. 12 of the Law "On the Constitutional Court," - said Igor Dodon.
