Survey: Igor Dodon and the PSRM remain confident favorites of the national trust
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, and the pro-presidential Party of Socialists confidently hold position of leaders of the national trust according to the survey results presented today in Chisinau.
Answering an open question to independently name the politician whom they trust most, 38.7% voiced Igor Dodon. As for the parties, the pro-presidential PSRM continues to hold the lead. Thus, if early elections were held in the country, the largest number of respondents - 38.1% - would vote for the Party of Socialists. Thus, the formation has a chance to improve its result obtained during the elections of February 24.
27.7% intend to vote for the ACUM bloc, and 24.1% for the Democratic Party. The survey showed that the Shor party, in the case of early elections, would not pass the electoral threshold to the parliament. Also 29.5% of respondents want to vote in the local elections for the PSRM representatives, 25% - for DPM representatives, and 18% for ACUM.
A larger number of respondents - 23.9% - stated that they saw early parliamentary elections as a way out in the present political situation. 16.1% supported coalition between the PSRM and the ACUM bloc, 10.8% supported coalition of the PSRM and the PDM, 7.5% supported the minority government, 3.8% supported the coalition of the PDM and ACUM.
The poll “Moldovans' Preferences Before Easter Holidays and Socio-Political Aspects” was conducted from April 17 to April 22 by Date Inteligente SRL. 671 respondents took part in the study. The error is about 4%.
