The Head of State laid flowers at the memorial in Soroca in honor of the 75th anniversary of the town liberation from the Nazis
During his working trip to Soroca, President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon, along with Russia's Ambassador Oleg Vasnetsov, Belarus’s Ambassador Sergei Chichuk, leadership of the Union of Officers and representatives of public organizations laid flowers at the Memorial of Fallen Soldiers in honor of the 75th anniversary of the town liberation from fascism.
“I believe that the exploits of our ancestors who liberated the Moldovan land from fascism are the best example for the patriotic education of young people and strengthening of the Moldovan statehood,” the President said.
On March 16, a big program was launched to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Moldova liberation from the Nazi invaders. It is planned to visit all cities of the country that celebrate the anniversary. Soroca is the first town on this list. The final event will be the March on August 24in Chisinau in honor of the 75th anniversary of the completion of the Iasi-Kishinev operation.
