Putin appointed Kozak Special Representative for Moldova
President Vladimir Putin appointed Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak as his special representative for the development of trade and economic relations with Moldova. The decree was made public on Thursday at the official portal of legal information, passes .rosbalt.ru.
The text says: "To assign the duties of the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of trade and economic relations with the Republic of Moldova to the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Kozak Dmitry Nikolayevich."
In early July, Moldovan President Igor Dodon described relations between Moscow and Chisinau as "worse than nowhere." He explained the difficulties with the situation in the Moldovan parliament and expressed his hope that after the election it would be better. At the same time Igor Dodon considers positive relations between countries at the level of heads of state and the level of cooperation between the regions of Russia and Moldova.
