World Population Day is celebrated in Moldova
On the occasion of the World Population Day, which is celebrated today throughout the world, a public event dedicated to family planning will be held in Chisinau.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Health and the UN agency, will be attended by more than one hundred people. According to the Center for Demographic Studies, in Moldova, 17% of women aged 15 to 49 who do not plan to become pregnant do not use contraception. At the same time, every seventh man believes that the responsibility for family planning is borne by the woman.
World Population Day was established in 1989, after the July 11, 1987 earth population made 5 billion people.
