PSRM will participate in the work of the Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in St. Petersburg
Chairman of the PSRM Zinaida Greceanii will take part in the work of the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in the northern capital of Russia, St. Petersburg.
The session will be attended by 104 speakers of parliaments of different countries, the press service of the formation notes. Zinaida Greceanii will take part in the meetings of the Assembly's Steering Committee, the Standing Committee on Sustainable Development, Finance and Trade, and will give a presentation on the topic "Promoting cultural pluralism through interreligious and inter-ethnic dialogue".
In St. Petersburg, Zinaida Greceanii is also scheduled to meet with Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia.
The Inter-Parliamentary Union is one of the most authoritative international parliamentary organizations, serving to coordinate the parliaments of the world.
The organization was founded in 1889. Currently, 173 countries are registered in it, 11 inter-parliamentary associations are included in the IPU as associate members. The headquarters of the Inter-Parliamentary Union has been in Geneva since 1921.
