BREAKING! Maia Sandu’s government fired!

Deputies of the legislative body of the Republic of Moldova, with the votes of 63 parliamentarians, fired the government led by ACUM leader Maya Sandu.

Recall that a vote of no confidence in the government was initiated by deputies from the Party of Socialists faction after Maia Sandu submitted to the parliament a project to take responsibility for amending the Law on the Prosecutor's Office. According to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, such measures are allowed only in emergency cases, which is not the process of appointing the Attorney General.

Moreover, the Prime Minister did not hold the necessary consultations on this issue with either her colleagues in the parliamentary faction from the ACUM bloc, nor with ministers, nor with her colleagues in the ruling coalition from the PSRM faction.

A vote of no confidence in the government was supported by MPs from PSRM and PDM.
