Igor Dodon: We will appeal to the international community to mediate in the peaceful transfer of power
Another possible option is to call on the people of Moldova for unprecedented mobilization and to peaceful protests. The Head of State wrote about this on his page on the social network.
“New day - new challenges. Yesterday showed that we, the citizens of Moldova with different views on domestic and foreign policy, can unite for the sake of a common goal: liberation of Moldova from the criminal, dictatorial regime. It is important not to stop our pressure and continue the fight”, - he stressed.
Igor Dodon added that, obviously, the Democratic Party was not going to peacefully transfer power to the legitimate parliamentary majority and the legitimate government.
“This is despite the fact that yesterday’s parliamentary processes and the newly formed government met with the support of the overwhelming majority of citizens and were recognized by our external partners from the West and the East. In this situation, we have no choice but to appeal to the international community to mediate in the process of a peaceful transfer of power and / or to call on the people of Moldova for unprecedented mobilization and to peaceful protests. Sure, the process is running and there is no way back. We must go to the end. We will not turn off the road”, - the President noted.
