President: The authorities rush between "a horrible end" and "horror without end"
The Head of State commented on the fact that the parliamentary elections in Moldova can take place not in the fall of this year, as expected, but in February-March 2019.
"They are now in a difficult situation and should choose between the "horrible end" this fall with a serious protest wave in the streets and "horror without end"- until February-March. Without external financing and with large winter accounts for heating”, - said Dodon.
The President is sure that the sooner this parliament goes down in history, the better. At the same time, according to the law, Igor Dodon noted, there really was an opportunity to delay the holding of elections until early March. "But I do not think it will help them. Moreover, the winter period is not the most suitable for the government and the power parties to vote," the Head of State added, stressing also that, based on the experience of the past, during the cold season it was easier for the opposition to conduct election campaigns and achieve high results.
Earlier, Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu said that the parliamentary elections in Moldova could be held between December 1 and March 1.
