Zinaida Greceanii met with the US Ambassador in Moldova
The Chairman of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova Zinaida Greceanii met on February 12 with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United States of America James D. Pettit.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the socio-political situation in the Republic of Moldova, as well as the state of Moldovan-American relations, in particular, the course of the central authorities in Moldova reform, situation surrounding adoption by the parliamentary majority of the law on combating the so-called "Russian propaganda", initiative of the President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon on transition to the presidential form of government.
Separately at the meeting, attention was paid to judicial reform. The need to depoliticize the Moldovan justice in order to cleanse it of political influence and create conditions for the implementation of real, and not imaginary, transformations was noted.
The parties touched upon the issue of holding parliamentary elections in the republic, which are planned for the autumn of this year.
The Chairman of the PSRM and the US Ambassador unequivocally stood for the most objective, free elections, during which the influence of the administrative resource should be ruled out.
In conclusion, the parties spoke for the real movement of the Republic of Moldova towards democracy, creating conditions for the country development and prosperity of its people.
